[ The first Zelos does after getting himself cleaned off after handling everything, is look for Colette. Luckily it really doesn't take that much effort to make an educated guess as to where she's at, as he catches sight of that familiar blonde hair at the daycare.
He sighs, and presses in. ]
I'm surprised you're back here. Something on your mind?
[Colette turns her head around. She hadn't expected someone to come here -- it's not that she didn't want to be at the afterparty...well, no, she didn't want to, she needed time to recharge her social batteries after that exhausting trial that included someone she liked being indicted for murder and then going crazy -- so to see Zelos...it's really a huge surprise for her]
...oh. Hi! Sorry, I just had to take a moment and come...say goodbye to Keito, I guess.
[She is staring in direction of where the hole is, or used to be]
I'm glad he was found, but when I think of how he used to be in there, it makes me feel...really sad for him. And Sora, what he did was pretty bad, but at the same time...
[She shuts up, unsure how to describe what she feels. Should she be feeling sympathy for Sora? A lot of people would say no. But even though Colette is devoid of a lot of the memories that lead to she taking a purposefully forgiving and kind behavior, she finds herself unable to truly dislike him.
The memories are gone, but the heart is still there. No matter how much one scrubs, the fact she's a truly kindhearted girl doesn't go away. The only thing it's causing is that it confuses her, because even though she's sure she should feel a grudge towards Sora, she just can't bring herself to do so.
It's pretty similar to how she found out she's stronger than expected, there during the trial when she managed to lift the heavy air fryer and swing it around. She's lacking the strength of an angel but she still is stronger than a teenager of her age and build should be]
[ He listens to her quietly, also looking at the hole they pulled Keito out of. ]
Do you feel bad for Sora, too?
[ It feels like it's where she's headed with that sentence, but he's not completely sure. Zelos has seen it time and time again, where she'd give more credit to people than they probably deserved. He's never been envious of that ability, at least he doesn't think, but it doesn't make her unyielding kindness any less incredible to watch, especially with all that she's gone through.
It makes his head itch slightly. ]
I don't think anyone'd fault you for it. No one worth listening to, at least.
[Zelos seeing right through her, she thinks to herself. That's indeed what she was going to say, Zelos figuring it out]
I don't know for sure what's going on with Sora, and I don't think he was in any condition to talk about it, but I do feel bad for him. We're all in the same situation and...I guess that pushed him to act, that he didn't want to stay here for a long time waiting to see if we'd get out of this town.
[.......]
There must be something that can be done to stop any other death from happening. Something that also doesn't have to end in all of us staying here forever.
[Something she'll wish to have figured out earlier so Sampo nor Keito nor Sora died. Problem is that no matter the efforts, she won't be able to pull it off. Murdergames, they sure hit against idealism pretty hard!]
[ It's easy to sort of fall into the gloom of things, especially with how Sora was talking, so hearing her still be just as optimistic as always is almost a relief compared to everything going on. ]
Well, we should look for it, then, right? It's not gonna just get handed to us. The three of them don't deserve to have died just for nothing, right?
[Colette is more than willing to give the benefit of doubt around, but she's not an idiot. Naivete and idiocy are different, and truthfully, talking to Makima and Adela seems...a tad dangerous. You generally don't talk to the people who want you to die for one reason or another, no? Even Colette, with her memories, would think it thrice or four times before trying to talk to the Desians.
i hope i remember things correctly because if it turns out she did do something along those lines im going to be so embarrassed]

[Colette nods with determination]
Any ideas, Zelos? We have to work together.
[Teamwork hopes!]

Have you talked to Adela or Makima much past when they've been around with the others?
Wow this notification failed to appear thanks Dreamwidth
